You have purchased Windows licences through the SMART website, but cannot see any product keys.
You may be wondering:
- Where are my licences?
- Why can’t I see my Windows product keys?
- Has my purchase been added to SMART?
- How do I use the licences I have purchased?
Understanding the SMART Platform
SMART consists of three components:
SMART Website (smartdpk.com)
Used for:
- Purchasing Windows licences
- Managing subscriptions
- Accessing invoices and billing information
SMART Application (app.smartdpk.com)
Used for:
- Managing licence inventory
- Viewing licensing activity and reports
- Downloading and configuring the SMART Client
- Viewing injected devices and assigned licences
SMART Client (app.smartdpk.com/client)
The SMART Client is the application run on the device being refurbished.
The client:
- Retrieves an available licence from SMART
- Injects the licence into the device
- Collects the required device information
- Automatically submits the Computer Build Report (CBR) to SMART
SMART then handles the compliance reporting to Microsoft on your behalf.
When Do My Licences Appear?
Licences are added to your SMART account shortly after payment has been received.
For card payments, this is typically automatic.
For bank transfer payments, please email proof of payment to:
help@smartdpk.com
This allows our team to verify the payment and allocate the licences to your SMART account as quickly as possible.
Where Can I See My Available Licences?
Log in to https://app.smartdpk.com.
You will see your available licence inventory, for example:
- Windows 11 Pro: 5
- Windows 11 Home: 10
This shows how many licences are available for injection.
Why Can’t I See the 5x5 Product Keys?
This is expected behaviour.
Windows product keys are not displayed immediately after purchase because they are not valid for use until they have been assigned to a specific device and the associated Computer Build Report (CBR) has been submitted.
Instead of displaying unused product keys, SMART maintains a pool of available licences.
When a licence is injected:
- SMART allocates a specific product key.
- The licence is injected into the device.
- The Computer Build Report (CBR) is submitted.
- The product key becomes permanently associated with that device.
Only after this process is completed will the assigned product key be visible within SMART, against the device you injected the licence to.
Why Does SMART Work This Way?
The Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) programme requires licences to be associated with specific refurbished devices and reported correctly to Microsoft.
By managing the process automatically, SMART ensures:
- Correct licence assignment
- Automated compliance reporting
- Full device-to-licence traceability
- Reduced risk of licensing errors
